Spreadsheet Sports – Daily Fantasy Sports Tools & Analytics
The landscape of “experts” in the fantasy sports world is a crowded place. Seemingly any sports website you visit provides rankings and “hot plays” for daily fantasy sports and season long leagues. Spreadsheet Sports aims to be different. Instead of using our expert intuition to construct lists of weekly rankings, we build tools and provide data so that you can become the expert yourself.
Spreadsheet Sports was launched in 2011 when its founder, Bryan Povlinski, started building basic fantasy spreadsheets to help make decisions on his personal teams. After realizing that other fantasy players might benefit from the same kind of tools, several of the fantasy football spreadsheets were posted free on the site. After hundreds of downloads, it was clear there was an opportunity to provide fantasy tools and raw data in spreadsheet format.
Spreadsheet Sports has evolved considerably since then with the rise of daily fantasy sports and now provides sophisticated tools for daily projections and optimal lineups for NFL, NBA, and MLB. We currently have over 400 users of our premium tools after less than a year after making them available.
What makes Spreadsheet Sports unique is that we allow you to customize everything to your own league and your own preferences. It’s always difficult to translate expert rankings to your specific league and scoring system, but with Spreadsheet Sports that’s as simple as changing the tool’s settings. We set the algorithm for daily/weekly projections to the methodology that we’ve researched to perform the best historically, but each user has the ability to customize the variables that get used and how they’re weighted.
We hope you give our free tools a try, and if you want access to the best fantasy sports analytics in the business you should check out our projection tools. Our tools have helped thousands of people improve their play and win more money in their fantasy contests.
